How to Relieve Vaginal Itching

There are several reasons for vaginal itching. You may have a vaginal infection a yeast infection, bacterial infection. If you believe that this is the case and you should talk to your doctor. Other causes may be from a chemical allergy; for example, you may be allergic to a certain soap, perfume or douche you are using, cause vaginal itchiness. Your diet can be a factor. * Apple Cider Vinegar: It is suggested that apple cider vinegar can inhibit the growth of yeast by killing them. This can help in giving relief from vaginal itching. You can dilute 1-2 tablespoons of apple cider vinegar in a cup of warm water. You may apply this mixture as a current wash in the vagina and on the vulva.

* Garlic: Experts suggest that the potent antifungal property of garlic can help in destroying yeast, thereby treating vaginal itching. For this, you may crush a whole garlic clove and mix some water into it. Drink the mixture more than a few times a day for few days till your symptom is gone.

* Yogurt: The acidophilus and bifid us bacteria restricted in yogurt can help in killing yeast. This may help in treating vaginal itching. Using a plastic tampon applicator or your finger you may insert some plain yogurt into your vagina.

* Buttermilk: Buttermilk is careful effective in arresting the growth of yeast infection. This can help in treating vaginal itching. You can smear the vaginal area with some buttermilk or you can drink 2 glasses of buttermilk everyday.



Vinegar sit baths are also tried and proven ways of relieve itching. Fill a bath to hip height with water and then add half a cup of apple cider vinegar. Women are advice to sit in the bath with their legs apart, until the water cools. Tea tree oil is also a relief for vaginal itching. Soaking a tampon in tea tree oil and then insert into the vagina also provides relief. Like we have said time and time again, always ask your physician when problem like this arises to rule out any grave problems.
